Play has been suspended in the Wimbledon final because of rain with Novak Djokovic leading Roger Federer in the third set. Djokovic was leading 7-6 (1), 6-7 (10), 3-2 when play was halted. There is a roof on the Centre Court stadium, so play should resume soon.

The Pittsburgh Pirates inched themselves closer to first place, overcoming three deficits and two ejections. Andrew McCutchen’s two-run home run in the 14th inning capped Pittsburgh’s third rally of the night and helped the Pirates beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5 on Saturday night. McCutchen’s homer to center off of Nick Greenwood (0-1) immediately followed Neil Walker’s leadoff single and extended his hitting streak to a career-high 18 games.
Kyle Busch wins Sprint Cup 400-mile race at Kentucky (Yahoo Sports)
Though Kyle Busch remains outside NASCAR’s championship playoff looking in, his prospects continue getting stronger. There was no doubting the strength of his No. 18 Toyota Camry on Saturday night, especially in the clutch. Busch outdueled Joey Logano late to win the Sprint Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway, moving a little closer to making the 10-race championship playoff.
Braves reliever Jason Grilli suffers leg injury (Yahoo Sports)
It began as a scramble from the mound toward first to cover the bag, something Jason Grilli has done countless times in his career. This one, though, ended with a bad step and Grilli crumpled on the ground in agony. The Atlanta Braves reliever suffered a season-ending left Achilles tendon rupture and took the loss Saturday in a 3-2 defeat to the Colorado Rockies.
Spieth surges to 2-shot lead at John Deere Classic (Yahoo Sports)
Jordan Spieth’s tee shot on the par-5 17th hole landed in the trees. Spieth’s decision to spurn Scotland for the John Deere Classic looks more prescient with each passing round. Spieth, bolstered by a 106-yard eagle on No. 17, shot a career-best 10-under 61 in the third round Saturday to grab a two-shot lead.
