Judge lets Brady play, ruling against NFL in 'Deflategate' (Yahoo Sports)

A federal judge let the air out of ”Deflategate” Thursday, erasing New England quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game suspension for a controversy the NFL claimed threatened football’s integrity. Berman said Goodell went too far in affirming punishment of the Super Bowl winning quarterback. Brady has insisted he played no role in a conspiracy to deflate footballs below the allowable limit at last season’s AFC championship game.

RG3 makes first comments since losing Redskins QB job (Yahoo Sports)

Robert Griffin III made his first public comments since losing his job to Kirk Cousins, but didn’t address the Redskins’ starting quarterback situation. Redskins coach Jay Gruden chose Cousins as the starter on Monday following Cousins’ strong performance in Saturday’s preseason victory against Baltimore. Griffin, originally chosen the starter last winter, was ruled out of that game while in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Michigan's Rudock, Morris know who will start at QB vs Utah (Yahoo Sports)

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh says the decision is made on who will be his starting quarterback for the season opener at Utah on Thursday. Jake Rudock and Shane Morris were listed as co-No. 1 quarterbacks on the depth chart released Monday. Harbaugh said on the Big Ten coaches teleconference Tuesday that Rudock and Morris know which one of them will take the first snap against the Utes.
