Commercial traders increased their short positions a bit in the gold market (see chart below).
Commercial traders decreased their short positions a bit in the silver market (see chart below).
While the COT report on gold is negative, but less so on silver, here is the big story: Commercials have increased their short positions in the crude oil market once again to all-time record levels!
It is truly remarkable how short commercial hedgers are right now in the crude oil market. It will be interesting to see how gold, silver, and crude oil trade in the coming weeks. KWN will update as needed.
