July 15 (King World News) – Gerald Celente: A top Iranian commander said in a statement Tuesday that the Strait of Hormuz will never be reopened through military means and that the “aggressive and corrupt president of the United States must learn to respect international law, the rights of nations, and the dignity of peoples.”
Brig. Gen. Mohammad Akrami-Nia said in a statement obtained by Press TV that the Iranian military “stood firmly against the Americans’ breach of their commitments and declared that any action in the Strait of Hormuz outside the arrangements stipulated in the memorandum of understanding would be met with a decisive response from the Islamic Republic.”
There has been a new round of conflict between the U.S. and Iran after Tehran carried out drone strikes on vessels that were illegally operating in the strait by taking routes that were not approved by the Iranians. These attacks prompted the U.S. to launch its heaviest attacks on Iran since the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) back on 17 June.
President Donald Trump said in an interview on Monday that the U.S. will “hit them very hard tonight, we’re gonna hit them hard tomorrow.”
“And there’s not a damn thing they can do about it,” he told Hugh Hewitt.
The Times of Israel reported that the Iranian Foreign Ministry suggested that “the time for diplomacy is now over.”
U.S. Central Command said that Iran does not control the waterway and that its forces are “prepared to ensure that freedom of navigation remains available to commercial shipping despite Iran’s continued unwarranted aggression, harassment, threats, and arbitrary declarations.”
The paper noted that Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard issued its own statement calling the strait Iranian territory and said we “will not allow a rogue and child-killing army from the other side of the world to continue its illegal interference in it.”…

The New York Times reported that the U.S. launched new strikes into Iran on Tuesday, citing state media, and said there were several explosions in the southwestern part of the country. The paper said there were reports on strikes across the Bushehr province, which is the location of the country’s only civilian nuclear power plant.
The Iranians said they responded to the attack by carrying out ballistic missile strikes on U.S. military installations in the region, including in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Trump posted on Truth Social on Tuesday that “oil is flowing like never before” in Hormuz, and said the waterway is open to all ships except for those with ties to Iran. He said the country’s leadership is taking the nation on a path to “TOTAL DESTRUCTION.”
He also informed followers that he will no longer charge countries a 20 percent fee to traverse the waterway.
“Based on highly productive conversations with Middle East leadership, I have decided to replace the 20% United States Reimbursement Fee with Trade and Investment Deals that the various Gulf States will be making into the United States. Those Investments will be MASSIVE but, at the same time, extraordinarily good for them, and their future,” he posted.
He wrote: “The days of Iran killing hundreds of thousands of people, including 52,000 protestors, are OVER and, most importantly, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”
Trump earned his nickname “TACO” (Trump Always Chickens Out) once again after telling reporters that he will charge commercial vessels in the strait 20 percent fees to cover the U.S. military’s security effort in the waterway and today said he wouldn’t charge the fee.
Nothing the president says should be taken seriously.
Professor Mohammad Marandi told The Trends Journal on Monday that the Iranians will never relinquish control of the waterway, and any escalation by the U.S. will be met with a retaliation from Iran on Gulf countries that host U.S. military assets.
Trump has lied to the American public about the strait being open in the past.
On 17 April, he posted on Truth Social: “IRAN HAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE STRAIT OF IRAN IS FULLY OPEN AND READY FOR FULL PASSAGE” and “The Strait of Hormuz is completely open and ready for business and full passage.”
On 23 June, Trump said the strait was “totally open” and that it would remain open with no more blockades.
On 12 July, he said the strait was open “as far as we’re concerned.”
On 13 July, he posted: “The Hormuz Strait is OPEN, and will remain OPEN, with or without Iran… All other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait.”
