Bill Fleckenstein spoke with King World News about gold and warned that today’s market euphoria parallels the massive bubbles from 2000 and 1989 Japan.
A World Of Massive Bubbles
February 1 (King World News) – Eric King: “When you are watching some of these stocks like Tesla or Amazon, particularly the last couple of days, was that shades at all of end 1999 or are we not there yet?”
Bill Fleckenstein: “Yes, it’s like early 2000 if you ask me. Or it’s actually a little bit like 1989 in Tokyo where there was incredible insanity and the fundamentals meant nothing. The size of these moves on numbers that aren’t that special, it could be some kind of combination of short squeeze and euphoria. I don’t know. But yeah, the environment we are in right now is far, far crazier than 1999.
