April 24 (King World News) – Michael Oliver, Founder of MSA Research: Monthly price action during prior acceleration phases in silver bull markets.
Here we show monthly price charts. But momentum factors (such long-term metrics as quarterly and annual momentum) indicated at the arrow months that the acceleration phase was starting. No more arm-wrestling.
Silver Upside Price Explosions 2008-2011 & 1976-1980
Note the red circles: an actual negative month, not just a multi-day selloff. Not in the first or second monthly bar of the acceleration process.
The current monthly bar, of course, isn’t finished, so don’t assume its close will be where it is now. But major annual and quarterly triggers have been pulled.
Perhaps in several monthly bars we’ll see what might be rightly be labelled as a correction. Meanwhile, all during the advance, do expect quite a few rapid, multi- day selloffs that come and go very quickly. MSA is focused on trying to define the onset of a reasonable correction, one that spans a month, not just days. We don’t see technical evidence of that. We suspect it will occur this summer.
