Germany's E.ON sells Norway oil, gas business for $1.6 bn

German energy giant E.ON said Wednesday it would sell its Norwegian oil and gas exploration business for $1.6 billion (1.4 billion euros) as it shifts focus to renewable energy. U.S. regulators haven’t determined the legality of a new emission-control device on Volkswagen’s 2016 diesel models, a top official said on Tuesday.
