Biography - Dr. Keith M. Barron, B.Sc., Ph.D: Director, Founder
Keith has more than 27 years of experience on all the continents except Antarctica, and in a wide variety of commodities including gold, base metals and diamonds. He holds a B.Sc. in geology from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Western Ontario. Keith has consulted for major mining companies as well as major investment houses and he is responsible for one of the largest gold discoveries in history. Keith has written numerous scholarly works as well as general mining interest articles for trade publications. Keith was co-founder of Aurelian Resources Inc. with a 13.7 million ounce gold discovery made in 2006 – a company subsequently acquired by Kinross Gold in 2008. He also founded U3O8 Corp (UWE:TSX-V). At the PDAC convention in March 2008 he was awarded the Thayer Lindsley International Discovery Award for his role in the discovery of the Fruta del Norte gold deposit and he was also jointly named the Northern Miner’s Mining Man of the Year 2008.
